Singapore: STX Pan Ocean has revealed that it has secured a 15 year contract worth $273m for the transportation of steaming coal for the Korea Southern Power company, writes Reuters. STX Pan Ocean, which will make the first delivery of the 15-year contract in 2011, also recently signed a Contract of Affreightment with the Graneles group to transport 450,000 tons of grain from Argentina to Chile over a year.
STX Pan Ocean and Graneles, which have co-operated on grain contracts since 2001, have also held discussed the possibility of establishing a cooperative relationship as strategic partners. [19/02/08]
