China’s new international land-sea trade corridor has handled container volumes of over 700,000 teu for intermodal transportation to date.

According to the statistics released by China Railway Nanning Group, container throughput on China’s new land-sea trade corridor increased 14.8% year-on-year.

Launched in 2017, the new international land-sea trade corridor is a trade and logistics platform jointly developed by provinces in western China and ASEAN countries.

With Chongqing as the transportation hub, the corridor uses ports in Guangxi's Beibu Gulf to connect with ports in Singapore and other ASEAN countries linking China-Europe freight trains between many western Chinese cities and Central Asia, South Asia and Europe.

The corridor currently serves 473 ports in 120 countries and regions.
