The 5,000 new reefer containers will include 200 units equipped with advanced Controlled Atmosphere (CA) technology.
ONE remains upbeat about the prospects for the reefer container trade that grew more than 7% globally in 2019. “In 2020 too, despite challenges posed by coronavirus pandemic, the prospect of global refrigerated container trade remains strong specially for protein and fresh fruits segment and ONE expects the growth momentum to be maintained for remaining months of the year.”

The continued expansion of the ONE’s reefer container fleet follows the procurement of 6,000 units last year. The company did not reveal the cost of the new reefer containers.
