Co-operating with local authorities and shipping company Liuzhou Taisheng Shipping, ZIM launched its Liuzhou-Hong Kong service at the inland Chinese port of Liuzhou.

It is ZIMs first foreign trading service based in Liuzhou.

ZIM (China) mainly provides container transportation services to North America, South America, Africa and Southeast Asia for Liuzhou, and will fully support the inland waterway transportation between Liuzhou and Hong Kong, said ZIM (China).

Liuzhou port shut down foreign trade shipping service during 2011 and 2019 due to terminal construction and upgrading at its Zhegujiang port. The waterway transportation to Hong Kong has been fully resumed since May 2021.
