Qingdao SunRui and Optimarin in BWTS cooperation

Two ballast water treatment system (BWTS) solution providers, Qingdao SunRui Marine Environment Engineering Company and Optimarin have signed cooperation agreement aimed at offering better services to shipowners.

The companies said the cooperation aims to provide one-stop service to global shipowners and meet the owners’ diversified demands on ballast water treatment system.

Leiv Kallestad, ceo of Optimarin said that large size and small size needs different ballast water treatment systems, noted that many of the owners have both large and small size vessels.

“We found unpredictable risks during the ballast water treatment system evaluation, the cooperation with Optimarin will help the owner to find the best ballast water treatment system supplier and gain more value-added services. We can provider a simplified purchase process for the owner,” said Fu Hongtian, general manager of Qingdao SunRui.

SunRui is a wholly owned subsidiary company of China Shipbuilding Industry Company Limited (CSIC). SunRui BalClor Ballast water management system ranks the top three in the world, especially of the installation quantity on large ships.
