The setting up of a regional headquarters in Singapore marks Idwal’s expansion into the Asia which it says is driven by strong demand for its vessel inspection and grading services. The company said it chose Singapore for reputation as an international maritime centre and strategic location at the nexus of major shipping routes.
Idawl has appointed Bobby Lee as Commercial Manager in Singapore and Senior Marine Surveyor Thom Herbert is relocating from the company’s headquarters in Cardiff. The company plans to add commercial, technical, operational, and data analytics roles over the next 18 months.
"Asia is central to our mission of bringing new levels of transparency to global shipping. Our Singapore hub gives us on-the-ground expertise to provide unmatched service levels to Asian owners and operators, and we look forward to cementing the Idwal Grade as the trusted standard for vessel condition in this fast-growing market," Nick Owen’s, CEO of Idwal, said.
