Established in Dubai in 1984, Grandweld has developed its capabilities in parallel to the shipbuilding industry and has made significant contribution to its clients globally.

The company has offered repair assistance on close to 12,500 ships and has contracted over 100 new vessels for both local and international clientele with over 2000 employees and 30 shipbuilding projects annually.

"We are celebrating 30 years of success because of our employees' dedication to excellence and because of the support from our clients and shareholders. We are filled with a sense of pride for what we have achieved over the years of shipbuilding in Grandweld. From the beginning we have always strived for excellence and innovation. We have consistently improved our productivity and quality performance and we will continue to strive for even greater success," said Jamal Abki, general manager.

From its humble beginning three decade ago, Grandweld is today recognised as an internationally acclaimed, modern, integrated shipyard with its state of the art 55,000 sq m manufacturing facility. Since its inception way back in 1984, Grandweld Shipyards has been on national duty and now is one of the largest foreign exchange earners in the region.

Grandweld Shipyards has contributed positively to the community as a socially responsible corporate and is well acknowledged by the local and international offshore industry.

SMEM will take place from 28-30 October at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, where Grandweld will be on stand K1.
