Coldharbour exhibits in-tank ballast water system at Nor-Shipping

Using inert gases, the system, built in Nottinghamshire, in the UK, treats the ballast water in the tank, inducing a state of hypoxia which kills the invasive species.

Last granted type-approval by the UK Marine and Coastguard Agency (MCA) in February, Coldharbour group is expecting its equipment to be granted full type-approval by the United States Coast Guard very soon.
