EMAS bags $505m in new projects
Operating brand of Ezra Holdings EMAS, has been awarded a total of $505m worth of North Sea, Africa, Gulf of Mexico and Asia-Pacific based oil and gas contracts, adding to a backlog of more than $2bn as at 31 May 2013.

EMAS’ headline contract consists of a $120m project in West Africa, to be undertaken by EMAS flagship Lewek Constellation together with Lewek Express. The Lewek Constellation, an ice-classed, multi-lay offshore construction vessel capable of operating at 3,000m water depth, will execute jacket and deck installation.

“We are extremely delighted with Lewek Constellation, one of only a handful of vessels in its class globally. This project marks the beginning of a new chapter for EMAS,” said Lionel Lee, EMAS managing director.

Lewek Express, meanwhile, will undertake the SURF and rigid pipeline installation scope.

EMAS’ other contracts consist of a further West Africa deepwater project worth $105m, a North Sea contract worth $126m including options, and two Gulf of Mexico projects with a combined value of $53m. The projects are to begin from 2013.

Further, EMAS has been awarded five time-charter contracts in the Asia Pacific region worth $102m with options, for one Platform Supply Vessel and four Anchor Handling, Towing and Supply vessels.

“The contract wins in the Asia Pacific region highlight our competitive edge in offshore support services for the region. They include longer term charters in Malaysia and Thailand where we are focusing our resources on growth to strengthen our leadership position in Asia,” said Mr Lee.
