Bahrain: Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Co (ASRY) says there is every likelihood that 2006 results will exceed last year's record performance since revenues for the first three quarters were 28% ahead of the corresponding 2005 period. The graving dock achieved a 100% occupancy rate for July through Sept while the two floating docks recorded in excess of 98%. Of the vessels repaired during the quarter, 27% were from Arab markets and 73% from other nations. With the development of two new slipways underway, it is predicted that 2007 will be even busier.
