Hanoi: With the acquisition last Thursday of France's SSI Logistics American agricultural commodities giant Bunge has taken over operation of Phu My Port, located on the Thi Vai river, just 70 km from Hio Chi Minh City. The port is currently the only one in all of Vietnam capable of handling panamax sized bulkers. Bunge, which has been operating at the port since 2004, intends to expand it soon. [20/10/08]
