China Merchants Energy Shipping buys 10 secondhand VLCCs
China VLCC, subsidiary of China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES), has purchased 10 secondhand VLCCs, bringing its VLCC fleet to a total of 28.

 

The 10 secondhand VLCCs were built between 2008 to 2014, coming from owners including Agate Shipping Inc, Crystal Shipping Inc, Nappa Shipping Inc, Nanjing Shipping Inc and Longxue Shipbuilding.
 
The latest acquisition deal followed the company's purchase of another seven secondhand VLCCs in November, CMES announced in a stock exchange filing.
