Hong Kong: China Shipping Container Lines Co. Ltd. said it would buy eight container vessels from regular Korean yard Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. for US$1.36 billion.
The mainland's second largest shipping line said it would fund the purchase from bank financing, internal resources or capital raising exercises.
The vessels, each with capacity of 13,296 teu, will be delivered between December 31, 2010 and May 31, 2012, the company said. [09/08/07]
