The line is launching the REX 2 service under a vessel sharing agreement with Hanjin Shipping, China Shipping Container Line and Yang Ming. CMA CGM will deploy a 3,900 teu vessel on the service. The service which starts on 22 July replaces the REX 1, a vessel sharing agreement with APL that stopped at the end of June.
“It was essential for CMA CGM to offer again Egypt and Jordan calls with a direct and improved service from Asia,” said Stéphane Courquin, vice president CMA CGM Asia.
