Shanghai: CMA CGM is to upgrade its PEX2 service linking the Far East withMexico, Central America and the Caribbean. From next week, the Frenchoperator will run its own PEX2 service independently deploying eight vesselsin the 3000/3,500 teu range on a weekly schedule. this new version of thePEX2 service will have three additional ports of call in Central Americastrengthening its presence in these growing markets. The new rotation willbe Shanghai, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Keelung, Pusan, Ensenada, Manzanillo(Mexico), Manzanillo (Panama), Kingston, Caucedo, San Juan, Puerto Cabello,Manzanillo (Panama), Shanghai. The CMA CGM Vernet will lead off the newservice leaving Shanghai on August 29th. (22/08/06)
