Former HHI president returns

Busan: After a brief six-month hiatus former Hyundai Heavy Industries president Yu Kwan Hong is back in the shipbuilding sector, assuming the chairmanship of SunDong Heavy Industries, taking over from the yard's founder H J Jong. SunDong already has ex-Hyundai personnel in senior positions such as I Y Chung. SunDong, formerly a block builder, has been in the newbuild game since mid-2004 and now has more than 50 ships on its orderbook.  [07/07/06]
