Shanghai: Grand China Shipping (Yantai) is launching a Shanghai- Tokyo/Yokohama shuttle container service this month. The affiliate of Hainan Airlines Group took over financilally troubled Shandong Yantai International Marine Shipping (SYMS) after SYMS ceased operations in the middle of last month. Grand China Shipping entered into the Japan-China trade with a Shanghai- Nagoya/Yokkaichi loop service in late August. It has also bagged space on a Shanghai-Osaka/Kobe service by chartering space from Shanghai Hai Hua Shipping Co. (HASCO). [8/9/08]
