Shanghai: Phase 1 of Dongbang Shipyard, a joint ship repair yard currently being built at China's Zhejiang province by South Korean operator Hanjin Shipping, has been completed, according to local Chinese newspapers. Two docks with respective capacities of 150,000 and 300,000 tons are now up and running. Under Phase 2 of the project, Hanjin plans to build a 400,000-ton dock that will be used for repairing 8,000-10,000 teu large-size containerships. [17/12/08]
