Traffic at the main Kwai Tsing terminals rose 2.4% to 1.44m teu from 1.41m teu previously while growth at the midstream terminals was flat.
For the year-to-date however the troubles at the beginning of the year kept weighing down on the overall growth as cumulative growth fell 4.2% to 20.36m teu meaning Hong Kong's throughput will almost certainly fall below last year's 23.12m teu and lose out to Shenzhen for 2013.
