Dalian: While all around suffered record ice cover last month Dalian Port's monthly throughput increased 21.7% year-on-year to a record 25.85m tons in January.
Dalian Port handled more cargo last month in part because the Yellow Sea and the Bohai Sea were frozen, and Dalian's port does not freeze.
The container throughput was up 9% to 423,000 teu. [12/02/10]
