Intermanager to hold meetings in Hong Kong and Singapore

London: Shipmanagers' association InterManager under new secretary general Capt, Kuba Szymanski (pictured), formerly with MOL Tankship Management, reports it will be taking its message to the Far East the week after next when it holds regional meetings for members and guests in Hong Kong and Singapore.

In Hong Kong it will co-host a seminar with the Hong Kong Ship
Owners Association on Monday June 28th and will discuss a wide range of topics of interest to the wider shipmanagement industry including marine training and the role of Hong Kong cadets, piracy, kidnap and ransom and e-commerce. Members of InterManager will outline the association's pioneering KPI Project which aims to develop a range of pan-industry Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for use throughout the shipping industry.

Singapore will consider the same topics at a meeting hosted by V.Ships Singapore on Thursday July 1st.

Szymanski is travelling on to Hong Kong following the IMO diplomatic conference in Manila next week. Members of London-based InterManager currently manage more than 3,700 ships and almost 200,000 seafarers. [18/06/10]
