Mumbai: Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) Middle East & India yesterday inaugurated its the eighth office in the region. The office, in Visakhapatnam (Vizag) at Pandurangapuram on the east coast of India, is part of ISS' ongoing expansion and "creation of a comprehensive India-wide port agency network".
The ISS India head office is situated in Mumbai with Cdr Pradeep Mishra (pictured), IN (Retd) as the Country General Manager. The company traces its roots back 160 years to Mackinnon, Mackenzie & Company who founded their first office in 1847 in Calcutta.
ISS India resumed port agency operations in June 2005 and now has countrywide representation at all the major Indian ports handling a variety of commodities and a wide range of vessel types.
ISS has been handling a variety of Marine Services and Offshore related activities in Visag via a sub agency arrangement for the past two years and with the opening of its own dedicated branch and a team of well trained personnel, will be able to offer an enhanced range of quality assured services to our clients across the industry.
