Jaya profits slump
Singapore: Jaya Holdings profits slumped in the second quarter ended 31 December. Singapore-listed Jaya reported a quarterly profit of $1m compared to $5.1m in the quarter a year earlier.

Jaya reported revenues of $14.2m for the quarter up 27% on the previous corresponding quarter.


Increased revenues came from the company’s offshore shipping division with its shipbuilding division generating just $0.1m in revenue for the quarter. “These shifts in revenue were consistent with the group’s increased focus on its chartering business,” Jaya said.
