Jumbo Offshore opens new Australian office

Perth: Rotterdam-headquartered Jumbo Offshore has opened a new office in Perth Australia that will be headed by Sjoerd Meijer. The office is expected to cater to the burgeoning deepwater sector in South-East Asia. The company has previously been active in the region and boasts a number of completed projects.

Meijer, who holds the title of Business Development Manager Australia & SE Asia, has worked as Project Manager on several projects including Jumbo's 'Kikeh' (Malaysia) and 'Cascade and Chinook' (GOM, USA) projects. In his new role as dedicated local representative, Meijer is tasked with seeking out opportunities and winning subsea installation work for Jumbo's two DP2 vessels: HLV Jumbo Javelin and HLV Fairplayer.  [02/06/10]
