Singapore: Keppel Corp makes a record profit of SGD1.42bn (US$1.11bn) in 2010, 150m more than SGD1.27bn profit a year earlier. Operating profit is SGD1.76bn, beating SGD1.5bn in 2009.
"We are happy to have achieved another record performance this year, but we are aware that it would be challenging to surpass this in 2011." Choo Chiau Beng, CEO of Keppel said. The company booked orders worth SGD1.2bn in the last quarter of 2010 as confidence returned to the market, Beng said. [26/01.11]
