Kuwait boxport construction contract awarded

Seoul: Hyundai Engineering and Construction has signed a US$1.13 billion deal to build a container port in Boubyan Island in northeastern Kuwait. ??The firm signed the deal with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Public Works on Wednesday. ??The port will allow four 250,000-TEU container ships to dock simultaneously, while the hinterland is 60 percent of the size of Seoul's Yeouido.  [09/07/10]
