MOL to enhance Asia-South Africa network
Tokyo: Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) announced on Tuesday the upgrade of Asia-South Africa network with the opening of a new route and wider coverage of an existing route.

MOL will offer a weekly service starting 8 April by joining the existing ASA service operated by K Line and Pacific International Lines (PIL). MOL will provide one ship out of eight running in the service. The service offers direct inbound and outbound service between central China, Taiwan and South Africa region (Durban and Cape Town).

The 56-day ASA rotation will be Shanghai, Ningbo, Keelung, Hong Kong, Shekou, Singapore, Port Klang, Durban, Cape Town, Port Klang, Singapore, Hong Kong and back to Shanghai.

In addition, MOL's current Mozambique Express Service (MZX) will extend the coverage to Nacala in fortnightly basis from May to June. The 35-day port rotation of MZX will be Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Port Louis, Durban, Maputo, Tamatave/Nacala (in alternative weekly basis) and back to Tanjung Pelepas.
