Tokyo: Namura Shipbuilding has decided to reopen its long shuttered ship repair facility in the far north of Japan. The firm will invest $55.3m in new equipment for its Hakodate yard in Hokkaido with a view to reopenin g the facility in October. The site, as the most northern Japanese repair facility, is likely to receive much business from the flourishing trade between Russia and Japan. [18/03/10]
