Singapore: New Century Shipbuilding Ltd is looking to revive its plans for an initial public offering in Singapore that could see the Chinese company raise as much as S$700 million, a person familiar with the situation told Dow Jones Wednesday. New Century, which filed its preliminary IPO prospectus to the Monetary Authority Of Singapore in April, withdrew its listing application in May. Although the company didn't give a reason, people familiar with the situation had told Dow Jones Newswires then that the IPO was pulled back due to complaints about inaccuracies in its prospectus.?New Century had, however, said at that time that it "intends to review the situation and will consider joining the Singapore Exchange at an appropriate time in the near future."
