Nisshin returns to Jiangsu Hantong for five bulkers
Japanese shipowner Nisshin has placed an order to build five 82,000 dwt dry bulk carriers at China-based Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry, in addition to a pair of handysizes ordered earlier.

The five 82,000 dwt newbuildings are scheduled to be delivered from the shipyard in late-November 2016. Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.

In July this year, Nisshin had signed a contract with Jiangsu Hantong to build two 38,800 dwt handysize bulkers for delivery in the second quarter of 2015.

The bulkers built at the Chinese yard are designed by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (Sdari) for greater fuel efficiency.
