New Delhi: Pipavav Shipyard has bagged two separate deals cumulating $720m to manufacture ships for two European buyers - Z Schifenbau of Germany and BF Shipping of Cyprus. This is the largest such deal in the country in the ship building sector. According to sources, while the first contract involving eight containerships is from Z Schifenbau for $260m, the second is from BF Shipping for 10 car carriers at a cost of $510m. [30/08/06]
