Singapore: A Cyprus Maritime bulker was boarded by pirates close to Horsburgh Lighthouse in the Singapore Strait on Thursday. The attack took place at 0330 hrs when five armed men boarded the 138,000 dwt Cape Cosmos 7.6nm northeast of Horsburgh Lighthouse. "The men armed with revolver and knife, came in a speed boat and boarded the bulk carrier using ropes," ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre said. "The duty officer onboard the bulk carrier noticed the robbers and sounded the general alarm." No of the crew were injured in the incident and the pirates did not steal anything from the ship.
