Five of the company’s vessels were on charter in the second quarter, however Safe Concordia completed a contract with Petrobras in July and will now transit to Curacao for lay-up.
The Safe Zephyrus, Regalia, Safe Bristolia and Safe Astoria were idle during the quarter, while the Safe Zephyrus, Regalia and Safe Bristolia are laid up in Norway, and the Safe Astoria is laid up in Indonesia.
In June the Safe Regency was sold for scrap in Turkey for $1.25m.
In terms of three newbuilds in China at Cosco (Quidong) Offshore the Safe Eurus is stacked while the two sides continue to negotiate a workable commercial solution.
Meanwhile a standstill on the Safe Nova and Safe Vega has been extended till 20 December 2017 as negotiations continue. If no solution is agreed Prosafe has the right to cancel the contracts and claim $60m in refund guarantees from Bank of China.
