Mumbai: Mumbai-based Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) has announced an extension to the deadline for submission of bids by shipyards for the construction of four single hull 75,000dwt Panamax vessels.
SCI has responded to requests by bidders and has relaxed the original deadline from Friday, August 31, by two weeks to 3pm on September 14.
The shipping line is also soliciting bids for the construction of two 5,000teu container vessels - the deadline for which is October 12.
The company's order book currently stands at 18 vessels including two VLCCs, two 4,400teu container vessels, six LR-I and two MR product tankers. [03/09/07]
