Singapore: Singapore-based Sea Consortium has launched a new East Africa X-Press (EAX) service that will operate a 36-day round voyage using three vessels following the port rotation: Durban - Dar es Salaam - Mombasa - Djibouti - Mombasa - Durban. Sea Consortium also plans to offer connections to Jeddah, Aqaba, Port Sudan, Hodeidah, Massawa and Aden via Djibouti.
The Sea Consortium service is designed to serve transshipment cargo from main lines calling at Durban, East Africa ports and Djibouti, and regional African cargo and Africa/Red Sea cargo.
The next sailing from Durban will be with the m/v Johanna Russ sailing on 22 August. [17/08/07]
