Singapore's new LNG terminal is expected to be ready for full and continuous operations by the second quarter of 2013.
The Qatargas cargo is scheduled to arrive in Singapore in the first quarter of 2013 and it will be progressively transferred to the terminal's storage facilities during the initial cool down process.
The S$1.7bn ($1.4bn) LNG terminal on Jurong Island will commence operations with two tanks having an initial capacity of 3.5m tonnes per annum, increasing to 6m tonnes per annum by the fourth quarter of next year once a third tank is ready.
