Sinopacific to build three PSVs for Naviera Petrolera Integral

Sinopacific to build three PSVs for Naviera Petrolera Integral
Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group has entered into a contract with Mexico shipping firm Naviera Petrolera Integral for the construction of three PSVs.

Sinopacific’s Zhejiang Shipyard is expected to deliver the newbuildings before the end of 2015. The vessels will then be used by Mexican oil firm Pemex in the Gulf of Mexico.

The offshore vessels will be built according to Sinopacific’s inhouse design SPP17A under the SP series brand, which features low fuel consumption, electric propulsion system, DP2 and optimisation of vessel dimensions.

Privately-owned Sinopacific said this is the first time that its SP brand of OSVs has entered the Mexican market, shortly after its first newbuilding deal from the Singapore market.

Last Friday, the Chinese yard bagged an order from Singapore’s Vallianz Holdings to build four AHTS vessels based on its SPA60 design.
