SKF demonstrates emissions automation hardware at SMM

Turbulo BlueMon can record all emissions covered under Annexes 1-6 of Marpol 73/78, and compare them with GPS data showing the location of various global ECA zones, in order facilitate compliance with regional regualations.
 
The system will sound a warning on the bridge if the vessel is approaching an area where emissions regulations apply, giving the crew time to take compliance measures ahead of entering the area. Turbulo BlueMon can also control the discharge of bilge water through the system’s own overboard valve in accordance to the limits programmed by the crew.
