Seoul: Egypt-based National Maritime Transport Company (NMTC) has ordered six vessels of between 81,000 and 86,000 tons from South Korean STX Shipbuilding. The order, worth an estimated $251.6m is to be financed by the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), reports news-site MEsteel.
STX Shipbuilding recently announced that it has raised its sales target for the year to $10bn up from $5.5bn as a result of a surge in orders for high-priced ships. [23/07/07]
