STX OSV clinches $200m shipbuilding contract

STX OSV clinches $200m shipbuilding contract
Singapore: STX OSV has secured two separate contracts worth a total of NOK1.15bn ($201.2m) for the construction of two offshore support vessels.

The Norway-headquartered designer and shipbuilder of offshore vessels clinched a NOK500m contract with Island Offshore to build one advanced subsea support vessel, and another NOK650m contract with DOF to construct one offshore subsea construction vessel.

Vessel delivery for the Island Offshore contract is scheduled in the first quarter of 2014 from STX OSV Brevik while the DOF vessel will be completed in the second quarter of 2013 from STX OSV Søviknes.
