Singapore: Thome Ship Management has entered into an agreement with a production company to make cutting edge animated maritime safety videos for the shipping industry. Singapore-headquartered Thome Group has linked with Karishma Consultancy Services (KARCO) of Mumbai, to jointly develop high end 3D animated marine safety videos.
Capt Atul Vatsa, Marine Manager of Thome Ship Management, who was instrumental in the tie up with KARCO, has been working with the production house to produce the films. He said: "The ship staff, who are the eventual target audience for such training materials, have responded very enthusiastically and positively to this new platform of training videos.
"The videos are effective in making difficult and abstract content easy to understand and produce a direct benefit because they improve ship operations." [12/10/09]
