The 4,000-dwt PSV is scheduled to be delivered from Vard Vung Tau in Vietnam in the fourth quarter of 2014. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Vard said the new offshore vessel is part of the company's Vard 1-series designed with high focus on cargo capacity and maneuvering capabilities combined with low fuel consumption.
Two weeks ago, Vard inked a $132m deal to build an offshore subsea construction vessel (OSCV) for Farstad Shipping.
