Taipei: Wan Hai Lines has commissioned eight new vessels from Taiwan International Shipbuilding (formerly known as China Shipbuilding Corporation - CSBC) to be built at its Kaohsiung yard. Four of the vessels are to be of 6,200teu size -Wan Hai's largest ever tonnage, while the other vessels of 4,200teu are an extension of a series already booked there. Wan Hai has also extended their current order at Singapore's Jurong Shipyard for two additional 2,446teu vessels. All the vessels are to have loose lashing equipment supplied by All Set Marine Lashing AB, a subsidiary of the MacGREGOR Group's Dry Cargo division. [09/02/07]
