Chinese cargoship Guo Xing 1 sank off Japan’s coast last weekend, one crew member was rescued while 13 seafarers are missing.

The cargo ship collided with Japanese fishing vessel "Eight Tomaru" in the sea about 12 kilometers east of the mooring fishing port of Rososura, Aomori Prefecture, Japan, and sank at the night of Saturday.

The 14 crew members onboard the cargo ship are from China, Vietnam and Philippines.

Some floating debris have been found in the incident waters by the Japanese rescue team, but these have not been confirmed as the parts of Guo Xing 1.
