CULines launches trial China - Med service

Chinese container carrier China United Lines (CULines) has started trial operations for shipping service to Mediterranean region.

Port calls of this service covers major Chinese ports including Shanghai and Shekou and overseas ports of Haifa, Istanbul and Piraeus.

The initial service used a 4,250 teu containership from CULines, calls at three overseas ports invested and managed by Chinese parties, including Haifa new port of SIPG, Kumport Terminal in Turkey jointly invested by China Merchants Port and Cosco Shipping Port, as well as PCT terminal in Piraeus developed by Cosco Shipping.

CULines is planning to offer regular service to Mediterranean region in the near future.
