Regional Container Lines (RCL) has revamped its Laem Chabang – Ho Chi Minh City – Manila North service to cover China and Korea.

Along with partner Ocean Network Express (ONE) the existing RLM service is being extended to Pusan, Qingtao and Shanghai in addition to the current rotation.

Four 2,500 teu vessels are being deployed on the service with RCL contributing one vessel, the Carinthia. The rebranded RLM2 commenced on 3 April from Laem Chabang.

RCL spokesperson commented: ”The new RLM2 will offer the best industry transit time of just six days between Shanghai and Laem Chabang.  In addition, the transit times between Pusan and Laem Chabang will be amongst the best at just six days as well.

“The new RLM will complement RCL’s existing sailings on the RBC, RBC2 and RBC5.  In all, RCL will offer four sailings/week between Shanghai and Laem Chabang on a weekly basis.”

The new rotation is Laem Chabang – Caipmep – Manila North – Qingtao – Pusan – Shanghai – Laem Chabang.
