ONE said it plans to integrate the smart containers across its global fleet, granting deeper insights about their fleet, and improved container visibility to enable more informed decision making and more efficient box movements.
The tie-up will also allow customers to get real-time updates on their container movements and access more reliable shipping data, said ONE.
The companies said the collaboration will make the most of ONE’s experience in the container shipping industry and Sony’s experience in sensing, tracking and connectivity technology.
Sony’s current offering in the logistics sector is its Visilion cargo and asset tracking solution.
