Zhonggu Logistics posts nearly 10% container volume growth in H1

The aggressively expanding Chinese container service provider, Zhonggu Logistics, reported 12.29m teu container throughput in the first half of 2021, an increase of 9.75% year-on-year.

Zhonggu Logistics, previously focused on China domestic trading services, has been expanding its international service network by opening up new route to Southeast Asia in the first half of year. 

Given the shortage of vessels available in the market the companys ships deployed on domestic market has reduced 20% compared to the end of 2020. 

Due to the stable growth of cargo transportation demands, the company has ordered 18 containerships at Chinese shipyard in H1 to expand fleet and improve core competitiveness, said Zhonggu Logistics. 

In H1, the company achieved CNY4.5bn revenue for waterway transportation, up 34.26% year on year. 

Zhonggu Logistics is one of the major container shipping service providers in China. As the end of June, the company operates a containership fleet of around 2.4m dwt, ranking No. 3 in domestic container shipping market.
