The vessels are all of a design by independent ship design company Salt, including the four options attached to the contract.
The latest contract adds to an existing backlog of five Subsea Support Vessels (SSV) and one AHTS on order at Kleven's Romanian, Chinese and Chilean yards by Maersk Supply Service.
The value of the order was not disclosed, and further details are not available until after Maersk's quarterly update in November.
