The countdown to the next edition of CMA Shipping has officially begun as professionals representing every subsector of the global shipping industry prepare to reunite from March 12 – 14, 2024, in Stamford, Connecticut.

CMA Shipping is North America’s premier conference and tradeshow for the global shipping industry. Now in its 39th edition, 2024 holds a special significance for not only the Connecticut Maritime Association, which will mark 40 years since its inception, but also for the wider industry as it continues to face new challenges.

“Over the last four decades, the global shipping industry has demonstrated its unique ability to adapt, evolve and therefore keep the world connected through facilitating important supply chain and trade links,” commented Sandra Ennor, President of Connecticut Maritime Association.

“Connecticut Maritime Association has remained steadfast with its members, whose commitment to ensuring global trade continues to move throughout economic and global uncertainty continues to be nothing short of remarkable. We look forward to recognising the significance of the last 40 years at CMA Shipping 2024 and celebrating in style as we look forward to the future,” added Ennor.

Preparation for CMA Shipping 2024 continues to move at full steam with the conference theme and full agenda expected to be revealed shortly. Demand for the Expo Hall is high, with confirmed exhibitors set to include ABS, Accelleron, DNV, Ecochlor, Furuno USA, KONGSBERG, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Resolve Marine Group, RUSTIBUS Worldwide, Thordon Bearings Inc., and many more.

“As the drive towards important IMO 2050 targets continues to gain momentum and the role of technology across the global supply chain increases the requirement for digitalisation, CMA Shipping 2024 will provide a crucial opportunity for industry stakeholders to come together, share insights and source solutions that will ensure operations remain compliant and competitive,” said Chris Morley, Group Director of Seatrade Maritime
